We worked with some local modeling agencies on a series of test shoots in CDMX. Javiera was an energetic enigma: ready to jump fully into whatever concept or posing we wanted to experiment with, while maintaining a carefree level of authenticity that lifted the mood throughout the entire studio. I think you can see a glimmer of that enchanting positivity across many of the images, and made for some of the sweetest outtakes I’ve got in the roll.
After shooting for four days in Mexico City with @robwerlinger, I have an entire new appreciation for wardrobe stylists. Moodboarding, putting together looks, pulling clothes and then trying to return everything unscathed adds a whole new dimension of work to a production that already has a lot of moving pieces you need to manage as a photographer. We’d wrap up on set, and head straight for the shops to prep for the next shoot, laughing at all the funny looks we were getting as a couple of gringos running around with armloads of women’s clothing.

I’m super happy with how everything turned out, the incredibly talented team who made it all possible, and for reminding ourselves just how fun work can actually be (even if it’s completely exhausting).
